Kaientai Dojo Girls: K-Dojo (2001 - present)
Kaientai Dojo (also referred to as K-DOJO) is a wrestling promotion in Japan run by former WWE wrestler Taka Michinoko of tag team Kaientai. One of the distinguishing features of K-DOJO is that it is one of the few equal opportunity wrestling promotions for women in the world. K-DOJO is one of the few inter-gender wrestling promotions. Women can wrestle in the same ring as men, in any type of wrestling match, they can also challenge for championship belts.
Kaientai Dojo commenced operation as a small wrestling school in Puerto Rico in 2001. After Taka Michinoko returned to Japan in 2002, he established the Japanese branch of Kaientai Dojo, which was transformed into an independent wrestling promotion. The promotion have a dojo that also serves the dual purpose of event venue called the Chiba Blue Field.
To date in 2007 Kaientai Dojo have had 5 women on their roster of note. Ofune, Apple Miyuki, Yuu Yamagata, Bambi and Tomoka Nakagawa.

Ofune
Now retired from the wrestling scene Ofune was an instant hit and fan favourite. Billed on their site as 20yrs old, Ofune began her career wrestling in intergender matches often against Apple Miyuki. She quickly rose in popularity and at the height of her career was the number 2 wrestler for the com-any behind Taka. Her popularity was covered in magazines like Ladies Gong where the cute and photogenic Ofune became a magazine favourite. In her K-Dojo years her online blog was the most viewed of all wrestlers in K-Dojo.
Her popularity insured Ofune work with other Japanese promotions including J’D and GAEA.
Her debut with GAEA was on November 30th 2003 at Kourakuen hall where she faced wrestling veteran Devil Masami. The very large size difference resulted in Devil winning the encounter in 4 minutes and 33 seconds to a Power bomb.

Ofune wrestled ex - WWE wrestler Taka Michinoko as well as other male wrestlers during her short but memorable career. Ofune often wrestled against or tagged with her friend Apple Miyuki early in her career.

Apple Miyuki has developed through a variety of phases and style to become one of the coolest characters in wrestling today.
Apple started wrestling in her teens first starting in an apple theme outfit (similar to a red and white cherry theme) and short strawberry red hair. She started her career battling fellow K -Dojo girl Ofune. Together the pair had a fast paced style interlaced with comedy.
In 2004, Apple went from fow to friend with Ofune and joined in a mini group with DJ Nira, battling against Kashiwa-gumi.
In 2005, Apple feuded with male wrestler YOSHIYA. There encounters led to a hardcore match against each other. Earning YOSHIYA's respect, the pair formed a tag- team called Slum Lorse. The team were successful in winning the WEW Hardcore Tag Titles twice.

Yuu Yamagata

Yuu started her career in Arsion wrestling her debut against Arsion trainer
Mariko Yoshida. Arsion at the time pushed fast paced matches as well as a
submission style that Yuu has continued to integrate into K-dojo.
Yuu Yamagata left Arsion in controversy after accusations where made against her that she denied. She has successfully revitalized her wrestling career in K-Dojo as a tough no nonsense wrestler taking on both men and women.

Bambi

Bambi is somewhat of a chameleon in the ring. You never know what Bambi is
going to look like next. The wrestler behind Bambi started her wrestling
career as "Showa-ko," a masked wrestler in the
Indy promotion DDT. 
Her early K-Dojo outfit consisted of a pair of cut off denim shorts and mid riff tee. K-DOJO's Bambi started training at Mariko Yoshida's Gym. Mariko advised a style change for her show and Bambi surprised her fans who were familiar her cut off jeans look. Bambi cam out to the ring for her match against Ayumi Kurihara in a one piece white bathing suit. The crowd in attendance went nuts, as the bathing suit was reminiscent of joshi legend Mimi Hagiwara's look. Bambi won the match with a diving senton at 13:51, and continued on for a while with a push.

The white outfit is now gone and Bambi went through two more transformations. The first transformation saw her cut her hair short and go back to short shorts. This was then followed by a black hair dye and black outfit.

Tomoka Nakagawa

In April 2007 it was reported that K-Dojo's Tomoka Nakagawa has formally
transferred from the group to Mariko Yoshida's Ibuki promotion. This means
Nakagawa will represent the S-Ovation office on shows, and will most likely
now be more visible on all joshi cards.
