As one half of the WWF women's tag team championship team of the 1980's "The Glamour Girls" Judy Martin was a force to be reckoned with. Her and fellow Glamour Girl Leilani Kai were managed by Jimmy Hart and set the WWF on fire with their feud against the Japanese rival tag team called "The Jumping Bomb Angels" in 1988.

The Glamour girls were the perfect heel team to feud with the popular Japanese imports "The Jumping Bomb Angels" as their power moves were the perfect counterattack to the aerial arsenal that "The Jumping Bomb Angels" displayed; the likes of which had not been seen in the USA before.
At the Survivor Series on November 26, 1987 at Richfield Coliseum Richfield, Ohio The Glamour Girls competed in a 10 women survivor match. The eventual survivors were the Japanese tag team “Jumping Bomb Angel’s” who were revolutionary for their time and brought with them to the WWF an aerial and counter-maneuver attack unseen in the United States before. Judy Martin was one of the pivotal wrestlers in this match firstly by eliminating Legend The Fabulous Moolah and then being the last to eliminated making the Jumping Bomb Angels the final survivors. The Elimination order was: Velvet McIntyre pins Donna Christanello at 1:57, Rockin’ Robin pins Dawn Marie at 4:1, Sherri Martel pins Rockin’ Robin at 6:49, Judy Martin pins Moolah at 10:53, Velvet McIntyre pins Sherri Martel at 14:54, Lelani Kai pins Velvet McIntyre at 17:20, Noriyoi Tateno pins Lelani Kai at 18:35 and finally Itsuki Yamazaki pins Judy Martin at 20:14. The quality of this match fueled a Women’s Tag Title shot at the Royal Rumble between The Glamour Girls and Jumping Bomb Angels.
At the Royal Rumble on January 24, 1988 in Hamilton, ON "The Jumping Bomb Angels" beat "The Glamour Girls" Lelani Kai & Judy Martin (15:00) in three falls to win the WWF Women's Tag Team Title. Judy Martin received the first pin when she pinned Yamazaki at the 7 minute mark. Yamazaki however struck back quickly and evened the core by pinning Leilani Kai within the next 3 minutes. Tateno secured the win on this occasion when she pinned Judy Martin at 15 minutes to take out the tag team titles.
The Glamour Girls would seek their revenge on The Jumping Bomb Angels in Japan where women's wrestling was going through an incredible serge in popularity fueled by the pop star / wrestling duo "The Crush Girls".
On their return to the USA without other tag teams of the caliber of the Jumping Bomb Angels to challenge them the WWF women's tag titles were fazed out and both Judy Martin and Leilani Kai returned to singles competition.
For Judy Martin this meant competing for the WWF Women's Championship. In 1989 she wrestled Rockin' Robin at the Royal Rumble to 16minute defeat. Judy Martin continued to pursue the title until it was fazed out.
Despite the set back Judy Martin continued to forge ahead in singles competition by joining the AWA where she challenged Wendi Richter for the title and then after Wendi left the AWA competed against Candi Divine for the vacant title.
Judy Martin was the first person in America to use the Powerbomb, using it long before any of the male wrestlers of the WWF as a finisher when she competed in singles matches.
